Welcome

Bill Smith - President 2021
Message from the President.
Welcome to the 2021 YRGA Season, and to our new look YRGA Website. A big thank you goes to Craig McMinn, our new website manager, for all his hard work in creating this new layout. I hope you will enjoy using it.
Well, what will the 2021 YRGA season look like? One thing for sure it cannot be worse than 2020, which turned out to be a big zero – no competitions, no meetings and no YRGA friendly matches. The hope is that golf will have been allowed to restart by the time our season is due to commence in April.
The first YRGA competition of the year is always the Fowler Trophy, our annual knockout open to all Rabbits Sections. The Fowler draw and all the competition rules are now on the website so check them out now and be ready and prepared. Each club is entered in both sections of the draw. Hopefully, we will be sufficiently out of restrictions to be able to hold this first round of matches. However, YRGA will continue to monitor the situation closely and if there are issues we will update the website accordingly.
Another highlight for 2021 is the Thornton Trophy which is being held at my home club, Harrogate GC, on 24th June. I look forward to welcoming all member clubs on that day. The full calendar of YRGA events can be viewed on the website.
These are challenging times for all, and golf clubs are no exception. However, I am sure that those unique attributes of rabbits` golf that we all enjoy so much can still work their magic and will help your club and YRGA make it a really successful year.
Best wishes, good luck and good golfing.
Bill Smith, President.
